Welcome to Option Scout. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website and services, and describes your rights under applicable data-protection laws.

• Account information — when you sign up, we receive your email address and (if you use Google or Apple sign-in) the basic profile information those providers return.
• Usage information — pages visited, features used, buttons clicked, and other interactions with the product, so we can understand what's working and improve the experience.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. We never see or store your card number; we only retain the subscription status and tier returned by Stripe.

We use Google Analytics 4 (via Firebase Analytics) to measure how people use Option Scout. This includes pageviews, feature activation, signup and upgrade events, and other product interactions. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device (including the _ga cookie) that assign a pseudonymous client identifier to your browser. We do not share personally identifying information with Google Analytics.

Some analytics events are reported server-side via the Google Analytics Measurement Protocol — for example, when a Stripe checkout completes — so we can attribute subscription conversions without relying on client-side tracking alone.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

We use Google AdSense to display ads on some pages. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and/or other websites on the Internet.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• We have no control over cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

• Provide and operate the Option Scout service.
• Understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
• Process subscription payments via Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (signup confirmations, billing receipts, alerts you've opted into).

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at the address below. You can also delete your account from the account settings page, which removes your profile and associated data.
